Together, we’ll explore ideas about community, commitment, friendship, intimacy, and more—through an open-minded, non-judgmental lens that encourages curiosity and conversation.

JLF is more than a class—it’s a chance to share meals, build lasting friendships, and receive a small stipend for your participation.

Have you taken JLF1 before? You’ll love this next offering! JLF 2 builds on the Jewish Learning Fellowship JLF1 experience by introducing students to the animating ideas of Jewish identity and creating space to reflect on what role Israel plays in their own Jewish journey. Together, we’ll explore contemporary, biblical, and rabbinic sources, as well as the insights of today’s leading thinkers, to ask big questions about peoplehood, identity, and belonging.

This fellowship isn’t about giving simple answers—it’s about curiosity, open conversation, and beginning to shape a thoughtful relationship to Israel as part of Jewish adulthood.

Ruach Fellowship

A new & exciting PAID fellowship opportunity for all students!

Introducing, the Ruach Fellowship!

Ruach in Hebrew means ✨spirit"✨. Ruach Fellows is a new program for Temple Hillel students who are interested in becoming more engaged in the complete Shabbat & holiday experience at Hillel, from the pre-Shabbat service and/or educational programming to the look, feel and taste of the dinner and social experience. Students will work closely with Rabbi Leah Berkowitz, Hillel Staff, and other Ruach Fellows to be mentored in developing practical skills in the areas of event planning, graphic design, marketing, engagement, and Jewish leadership- skills that are applicable to many careers!
